An artist-led workshop to co-create an illustrated resource of ideas to support environmental education.

What’s on offer?

90 mins workshop led by artist and illustrator, Maisy Summer, secondary school science teacher Meryl Batchelder and environmental education researchers Elizabeth Rushton (KCL) and Lynda Dunlop (University of York) to identify simple ways to implement environmental education. Those attending the workshop will be able to share their ideas and perspectives on creative approaches to environmental education through a series of short activities (20 mins each) led by Maisy Summer. These ideas will contribute to resource to support environmental education which will be produced in early 2022 and will be illustrated by Maisy and will be freely available to all via the BERA project website. The workshop will be of particular interest to those who work with children in formal and informal settings (e.g. teachers, youth workers, museum staff) however it is open to all those who are interested in environmental education.
