A Post-COP26 Roundtable: Reflections and Looking Ahead Part 1

Environment Themed

What’s on offer?

Taking place after COP26, this 2 hour virtual event will bring speakers from the event series together, to provide a short update on what has been achieved in the context of the topic of their lecture, during COP26.

The roundtable will be interactive, providing a short presentation on the issues by each of the panellist, followed by an extended Q&A session and interaction with the audience. The focus will be on the achievements of the climate summit, and to discuss the way ahead to COP27 and the first Global Stocktake.

What’s it about?

Over the last six months Durham academics have delivered a series of monthly events showcasing research, thought leadership and partnership activity across and beyond the five themes of the UK COP26 Presidency.

This event series has brought together Sciences (Natural and Social Sciences), Technology, Engineering, Arts and Maths (STEAM) for Action on Climate Empowerment (ACE).

Please join us for a final session with the lecturers of our "On the Road to COP26 / CMA3 Preparatory Lecture Series".

Both events are the same just held at different times for different time zones.

Who’s leading the event?

Lavanya Rajamani, Professor of International Environmental Law, University of Oxford "Designing an Effective Global Stocktake"

Nilüfer Oral, Senior Fellow, National University of Singapore

Saleemul Huq, Director of the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) in Bangladesh
