THE 2021 FESTIVAL OF SOCIAL SCIENCE RUNNING 1-30 NOVEMBER 2021
Envisioning Future Homes for Wellbeing
What’s on offer?
This online event gives audiences an opportunity to shape what future homes for wellbeing will look like by contributing to a “world café” style online discussion session. A world café works by providing everyone with uninterrupted speaking time within small groups that then share ideas to collectively generate new solutions to complex problems. Topics from emerging conversations will be recorded as a beautiful digital visual by a graphic artist and sent to all attendees to bring together and commemorate everyone’s contribution.
What’s it about?
The event will begin with a short presentation of innovative technologies for home wellbeing to inspire follow-up conversations on “What should future homes for wellbeing look like?” and “How can technology support future homes for wellbeing?” with other attendees in small Breakout Room groups. Each Breakout Room will be moderated to make sure that everyone gets a chance to contribute and highlights from discussions will be summarised and final conclusions drawn on future homes for wellbeing at the end. Attendees will each receive a beautiful digital visual of emerging conversations and conclusions a few days after the event.
