Ethnicity and the Criminal Justice System (CJS)

Environment Themed

What’s on offer?

The event will address understandings of ethnicity and the Criminal Justice System (CJS). It will be used to present new ESRC funded research on ethnic inequalities in the CJS and to provide a platform for discussion between CJS practitioners and CJ users about ethnicity and the CJS. The event sessions will explore patterns of ethnic inequalities at different stages of the CJS, how data on ethnicity are collected and used to identify ethnic inequalities, and the implications for addressing them. The discussions from the event will be used to inform recommendations aimed at CJS practitioners, policymakers, and data providers to help address ethnic inequalities.

Who’s leading the event?

Dr Kitty Lymperopoulou, Research Centre for Applied Social Sciences
