Reparative History in Practice: The Slavery Family Trees Banner - exhibition

What’s on offer?

Between 15th - 30th November, visit this exhibition of the Slavery Family Trees banner in Lancaster University library.

A collaborative textile creation, the banner highlights some of the key findings of a community research project relating to Lancaster’s black history.

Learn about the key characters, places and objects displayed on the banner and their links to transatlantic slavery and local history. 

A linked event is an online talk and panel discussion on 16th November 10-11.00am. 

Who’s leading the event?

Professor Imogen Tyler and Dr Sunita Abraham working in collaboration with Lancaster Black History group and the Sewing Café.
