Rethinking Global Water Issues: How Social Sciences Can Influence Safe Drinking Water

Environment Themed Collecting natural spring water with 5 litre plastic water bottle

What’s on offer?

This online discussion will focus on the SAFEWATER project, an initiative between Ulster University and partner organisations (academic and non-academic) in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico which helps people in rural areas gain access to clean water for domestic use. We will demonstrate how existing knowledge in business and marketing can tackle a global challenge by looking at clean water solutions.

What’s it about?

An estimated 2.2 billion people need access to safe drinking water. This problem is more significant in rural communities in developing countries, where many still drink contaminated water.

Who’s leading the event?

Janeet Rondon-Sulbaran, Michael Brennan and Ian Balam, Department of Marketing, Management and Leadership, Ulster University
